Lisa, looking great! Looking forward to the blog on funny things that happen to us Realtors on a daily basis! I’ve been working with a sight impaired buyer for the past couple of months and we’ve had MANY stumbles and bumbles while looking at houses! He’s so good natured about his accidents and bumps, it’s actually quiet hysterical. Had a showing in Hensley yesterday with keys that did not work (oh boy, isn’t that one of our biggest challenges)?? Wound up waiting 30 minutes outside in the cold, then had to take a road trip to a little country grocery store to get other keys…while waiting outside, I got to witness two bull cows across the street in a huge fight which frightened and amused me at the same time. When my buyer (all male, race car fanatic, pick up truck driving, gun toting man’s man) and I got into the house we were stunned to find a comically decorated pink and purple themed house with huge crystal chandeliers EVERYWHERE…even purple bathroom fixtures and “Gone With The Wind” window treatments. Wasn’t sure if he was going to faint or bolt out the door. Good news is that he was able to see through the froo-froo decor and we wrote a good contract! Hey…anyone out there up for buying some really cheap crystal chandeliers
) Also have access to free goats and chickens due to a divorce situation!!! Every day is an adventure in Real Estate!!! When I retire, I’m going to write a book titled “So, You Think You Want To Be A Realtor, HUH??”
